ABOUT US

Our family has a long and strong tie to this land along Paint Creek. Mark's paternal great-great-great grandparents arrived in 1853 and began to log the Creek. They bought land along the Creek for their sawmill operation and leased large tracts of logging land adjacent to the Creek. Additional ancestors on both his maternal and paternal side of the family began arriving to the area in the 1860's and 1870's. In 1902 Mark's maternal great-great grandparents bought the home farm where the family continues to live. Mark and Tammy's daughter Jordan is the sixth generation to call the century farm home.

Every generation has worked the land full time. With changing times each generation adapted the land use for economic survival. The first two generations were dairy farmers. Mark's grandparents added a Christmas tree farm and a mink ranch. His parents Rusty and Judy have expanded into a meat processing plant (Chuck Wagon Meats) and use part of the land as an ag-tourism business with horses (Cabin Ridge Rides). Mark operates GP Stucco and is now putting his stamp on the land with Lowline Angus Cattle. We are all excited about the Lowline Angus expansion.

This long history brings with it a commitment to care for the land and preserve it for future generations.
